Thanks for sharing! I'm fighting a losing battle with a t-shirt pattern (of all things!) I went the opposite direction and now can barely squeeze into it.
Oh no! This brings to mind my first grading adventure! Disastrous. I have a true abhorrence for grading, but sometimes the pattern is just too good to pass up. I graded a jacket up last time and boy, after grading 20 pattern pieces for one garment, I never wanted to do it again!
You could still wear this with one of your fancy schmancy belts....maybe??
gosh, you're so sweet!:)) I wish I were that brave to publicly admit my mistakes. On the other hand, I think I don't start because there are so many that it would take forever if I wanted to mention all, and it would soon get boring.
You're so funny. But isn't it nice to know you're so much tinier than you apparently thought you were? I, on the other hand, often think I am quite svelte and smallish. Then I sew, and find reality is quite the opposite.
ARGH SO MUCH FUN!
ReplyDeleteI think so many things will 'work' and they don't! I wonder why our brains get caught up in the moment!

I feel your pain.
Oops! I've done that, at least, I tried to eye the pattern and adjust instead of measuring.
ReplyDeleteWill you be able to adjust it back?
Well, look at it this way, in the really stinking hot days of summer you'll have a VERY stylish muumuu to float around in!

ReplyDeleteI think you have a couple of really cute dresses in there! So far, I've successfully avoided grading anything more than a few cm...
ReplyDeleteGlad you found a fix!
+ magda: i thought it would be fun to show an abysmal fail every so often, god knows i have PLENTY.
ReplyDelete+ kelly: i do the SAME THING! i mean, i even look at the measuring tape and refuse to believe the number, and cut my size 4 years ago. every. time.
+ robin: HA! that was my second thought; if i can't save it, i've still got plenty of yardage...
